Didn't Loki die in the 'Infinity War' motion picture?

Yeah.Loki died in "Avengers: Infinity State of war" when Thanos attacked a ship traveling from Asgard (which had simply escaped the apocalypse, as seen in "Thor: Ragnarok").

• Thanos destroys anybody and everything on the ship. He takes the Tesseract (which has an Infinity Stone inside) from Loki and and then chokes the god of mischief until he dies.
• "No exercise-overs this time," Thanos tells Loki in that scene.
• From there, Loki is gone.

Loki appears in 'Avengers: Endgame,' too

We don't see Loki again until "Avengers: Endgame" when the Avengers travel dorsum in time to the 2012 Battle of New York (equally originally seen in "The Avengers.") to collect Infinity Stones, including the one inside the Tesseract.

• While in that location, the 2012 version of Loki steals the Tesseract and travels away from the boxing, which sets up the new "Loki" show)

Why 'Loki' doesn't skip Loki'south death

Michael Waldron, the caput author for "Loki," said it's important not to forget Loki's death and what happened to him in "Avengers: Infinity War."

• "I actually never wanted to forget it," Waldrontold The Wrap. "We knew early that we wanted to have this Loki feel it and see it considering fifty-fifty though he didn't live it, our audition did. And the folks who dearest Loki know that that was part of his journey. We don't want to say that that stuff didn't affair."

Waldron told The Wrap the show's writers wanted to bring Loki up to speed on his original expiry and then they could put him on a new journeying.

• "It became our job to bring this guy up to speed, only then hopefully launch him on his new equally fulfilling, but hopefully very unlike, journeying," he said, according to The Wrap.
